Bus Trip around the Memorials

A bus will leave the Visitor Information Centre at 9.00 AM. It will stop at Central Parkwhere there will be guides at the various memorials. The tour then proceeds to Dangersleigh Memorial with morning tea served at Dangersleigh Hall. Kellys Plains church will be the next stop then to the University of New England via the Billy Brett Bridge.

The bus will return to the Visitor Information Centre at approx 12.00 PM

Damian Wood and brothers Rolfe and Rob Kolbe are riding their mountain bikes from Sydney to Armidale to remember Damian's baby daughter Tessa who died from a rare complication after having treatment for leukaemia and to raise money for The Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. We are holding a Welcome Fundraiser when they return to Armidale at The Armidale City Bowling Club commencing at 6pm. Entry is by donation. The night will include an auction, silent auction and entertainment by local band Tex Message.

Dame has always been a keen leisure cyclist and often went on rides with Bec's cousin Rolfe during Tessa's treatment which were very therapeutic. They talked about doing a big ride together once Tessa finished her treatment. That ride has become Lifecyclists. A mountain bike ride from Sydney to Armidale in September. It is a chance for Damian to keep Tessa's memory alive and give back to the place that gave her such special care – Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick

The period instrument ensemble Satyr's Band was initiated by a group of musicians who met while studying in The Netherlands, since the groups formation they have played together across Europe and Australia, while they draw on repertoire from the 17th and 18th Centuries, as well as contemporary works, the ensemble designs a unique program for each concert.

3D is the fastest growing archery discipline in Australia. Conducted in a bush setting, competitors traverse 5 courses over the 2 days shooting at 3 dimensional targets set at un-known distances. Competitors from as far away as Victoria will travel to Armidale and south east Queensland, to contest this year's Championships in an attempt to be crowned National Champion and Shooter of the Year at the presentation function at the Armidale Bowls Club on Sunday night. The 2010 programme begins Tuesday 2nd of February at O'Conner Catholic College Gymnasium. We have dance programmes for all levels of dancers from absolute beginners to those who would like to build and practice on their own ability.

Social Dancers are held every Saturday around the Armidale District.

Beginner Class: Tuesday 7pm - 9pm :- Step by Step instructions on all aspects of dance basis.

Intermediate Class: Wednesday 7pm - 9pm :- Step by step instruction for more intricate dances.
