Guyra Spring TroutFest

Friday 29th of September to Sunday 1st of October 2017

The TroutFest will coincide with the opening of the Trout season and combine fishing events with a market day in the main street (Bradley Street, Guyra) with stallholders from the New England region, fish 'touch' tank, fish sculpture exhibition, photogrpahy and art exhibits, antique car displays, train rides, music and entertainment, and a Guyra foodies tasting event. Shops will be open and have fishing displays. Tours of local fishing enterprises and maps to fishing spots and other attractions will be available at the Visitor’s Information Centre. Great prizes are up for grabs for the fishing competition so bring the kids, grandkids and all your friends.

Friday 1.000am - Kids ‘learn how to fly fish’ clinic - Mother of Ducks Lagoon

Friday 6.00-8.00pm -  Fishing competition registrations - Guyra Hotel (dinner available)

Friday 10.00am-1.30pm - Bus tour of historic sites and gardens-  $30 includes lunch - bookings 6775 5735

Friday  9.00am-5.00pm - CWA window dressing judging

Friday 5.30-6.30pm - Art Exhibition Opening by MP Adam Marshall                                                   

Saturday 9.30am-2.00pm -  Market Day - main street (closed to traffic)

           Local producers tasting plates - main street (closed to traffic)

            Music, displays, demonstrations - main street (closed to traffic)

            Window displays -  main street (closed to traffic)

            Train rides - Central carpark

10.00am-4.00pm - Antique machinery display - Railway Station, Bradley Street

10.00am-4.00pm - Guyra Museum -  Bradley Street

10.00am-1.00pm - Busking Competition

All-day Fishing Competition - Guyra District

10.00am-4.00pm - Regional photography exhibit & competition - venue TBA

10.00am-3.30pm - Guyra district tours and gardens "Roseville" and "Rosewood"    

Sunday -  Fishing competition to 3.00pm - Guyra district

10.00am–4.00pm - Art, Photography & Sculpture exhibit 

10.00am-4.00pm - Guyra district tours and gardens "Roseville" and "Rosewood"             

  5.30-9.00pm - Grand Finale Dinner - Guyra Bowling Club(dinner bookings required) - Anglers' quizzea, musical entertainment

Presentations: Window dressing, busking, photography and sculpture
