Armidale is a university town with a history of early grazing properties. The area was settled in the late 1830s and many buildings date back to the 1860s-1880s. Coffs Harbour is a 2 1/4 hour drive through Dorrigo and Bellingen. Visit waterfalls, National Parks, bookshops and cafes.

Armidale boasts beautiful gorge country close to town. Cold climate wineries are now established in the area with nearest only 1 km south. Keen fossickers are encouraged to visit Inverell and Glen Innes which can be done in a day trip.

There are also some local fossicking areas however the better gems are found between Inverell and Glen Innnes. Armidale boasts a fine golf course which is only a 5 minute drive from your accommodation.

Each cabin also has its own privately fenced court yard making it suitable for pet owners.
